This organic black broken tea produces a deep dark red amber liquor that appears bright and clear in the cup. The leaf is heavily broken with almost no visible whole pieces, yet the particles are remarkably uniform in size, allowing very consistent extraction during brewing. The aroma in the cup is extremely mild, but a gentle fragrance develops after swallowing, creating a pleasant lingering sensation. The infusion offers a full mouthfeel with a slightly juicy character and a natural soft sweetness. Despite the fine broken grade the tea remains smooth and free from bitterness even when brewed for 5 to 6 minutes. The second infusion continues to taste good, while later steeps become lighter and mildly dry in a natural way rather than turning harsh. Overall it is a balanced, forgiving and easy drinking tea with notable smoothness
