Homestay at Makaibari
A CROSS-CULTURAL EXPERIENCE TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE LIFE OF THE LOCAL PEOPLE AND THEIR CULTURE
Makaibari offers Homestay at one of their villages as a guest to one of the local families.
FACILITIES
The rooms are clean and comfortable including bathroom facilities.
Three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are provided daily —traditional dishes prepared using organic produce available locally.
The homestay profits are shared between the ladies of the community who participate in the programme and goes directly to the families – as the company makes no claim to the revenues.
This programme is managed by “Volunteer in Makaibari”, an independent self-help group, managed by a group of Makaibari’s youth wing, spearheaded by Nayan Lama.
