The Festive Trio editions are named for states of being — Awaken, Evoke, Revere — because a good cup changes the mood of a room, not just the taste in the mouth.
Each blend starts with Makaibari estate tea, which has been grown biodynamically on the same Kurseong hillside since 1859. The botanicals are chosen to work with the character of the base tea, not against it. And the kettle infuser is designed to sit on a kitchen shelf and be used every morning, long after the festive season has passed.
Six ridges, three rivers, one estate. Everything in this box was grown, picked and packed inside that boundary.
What's inside
Awaken the fire energy of creation. Makaibari Second Flush black tea blended with citrusy orange peel and warming spices. Bold, bright, and invigorating — the cup that starts the celebration.
Evoke the earth energy of abundance. Delicate First Flush Darjeeling with saffron and rose petals. Floral, golden in the cup, and fragrant in a way that makes the whole room pause.
Revere the water energy of clarity. Makaibari green tea with jasmine blossom and fresh mint. Clean, cooling, and quietly celebratory — the cup to close an evening with.
Every base tea in this collection is grown at Makaibari, the world's oldest tea factory estate in Kurseong, Darjeeling. Biodynamic farming, no pesticides, at 1,500–2,000 metres elevation.
The three festive editions layer natural botanicals over these estate teas — saffron, orange, rose, jasmine, mint — sourced and blended to complement, not to mask, what the tea already is.
The kettle infuser holds one generous serving. Load it with 2g of loose leaf blend, steep in the cup, and lift it out by the chain. Rinse immediately — the botanicals and saffron can stain if left to dry.
Fill the kettle infuser
Place 2g of your chosen blend into the kettle infuser. Shake the pouch gently before measuring — the botanicals settle at the bottom and need to be distributed evenly with the leaf.
Set the water temperature
Awaken (black): 95°C. Evoke (First Flush): 85°C. Revere (green): 80°C. Lower temperatures protect the floral and green bases from going bitter.
Lower and steep
Set the infuser in the cup and pour water over it, or lower it into a filled cup. The kettle shape allows good circulation. Steep Black for 3–4 min, First Flush for 2–3 min, Green for 2–3 min.
Lift and rinse
Lift by the chain, hold over the cup a moment to drain, then rinse the infuser under cold water straight away. The saffron in Evoke will stain if left to dry. The kettle is made to be used daily.
